Tasting Excursions (© 2000, Marilyn Wood Bolles)

OUR "TASTING EXCURSIONS" let you relish local taste treats ranging from fresh fruits to wines to micro- brews. Marvel at majestic mountains and breathtaking panoramas en route.
COLUMBIA GORGE WINERIES. Choose from more than two dozen wineries producing fine and award winning vintages. Some offer wedding venues, scenic vistas, barbeques, and one has an outdoor amphitheater featuring summer concerts. These wineries are spread out along both sides of the Columbia River and surrounding foothills. We can customize a tasting excursion to best suit your needs. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery while we do the driving.

MICRO-BREWERIES. There are several microbreweries in the area, all with their own unique tastes. Hood River is home to Full Sail Brewing Company which offers a wide variety of ales to choose from. Check out the view from their tasting room. Big Horse Brewing Company is only a few blocks away. Here you can sample beers on tap with additional seasonal offerings. Relax in their rustic restaurant overlooking downtown. Travel south to Eliot Glacier Public House and enjoy a magnificent view of Mt. Hood from their back deck. They offer quality-crafted beers brewed on site. Continue south to the Mt. Hood Brewing Company in Government Camp or west to Walking Man Brewing for a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Double Mountain taproom provides a fun and comfortable atmosphere. Sample from their year-round and seasonal or one-off brews. Everybody's Brew Pub in White Salmon serves twelve revolving guest tap as well as their own in-house beer. All these microbreweries have great pub food and views to match.

Testimonial:

Thank you so much for making the wine tour this month such a success. It was a real hit and we look forward to another wine tour next year. It all worked out great!
